Hunting for the perfect kick drum is time consuming, taking time away from the more fun aspects of music creation. Also it can be very difficult to find the exact type of sound youre looking for. Instead you can quickly synthesize the perfect kick drum that is also in tune with your song. This is done by using a synthesizer with a pitch envelope applied to the main oscillator. You can enhance the result by using a noise burst as a second or 3rd layer. In this video I use Ableton Operator, but any synth that has the ability to use an envelope for pitch modulation can work.
