Set up the VPN Server in Windows Server 2022 Site to Site
1. Prepare
DC21 : Domain Controller Yi.vn, IP 10.0.0.21 | DC23 : File Server, IP 10.0.0.23 | WIN111 : Client, IP 10.0.0.111 === Gateway 10.0.0.25
DC22 : Domain Controller Yz.vn, IP 10.0.3.22 | DC24 : File Server, IP 10.0.3.24 | WIN112 : Client, IP 10.0.3.112 === Gateway 10.0.3.26
DC25 : VPN Server Yi.vn, IP 10.0.0.25 and 10.0.2.25 Gateway 10.0.2.26 | DC26 : VPN ServerYz.vn, IP 10.0.3.26 and 10.0.2.26 Gateway 10.0.2.25
2. Step by step : Set up VPN between Yi.vnDC25 and Yz.vnDC26
DC21, DC22 : Allow HiepYi, HiepYz VPN from Internet
Server Manager - Tools - Active Directory Users and Computers - Yi.vn - VPN OU - Right-click HiepYi - Properties - Dial-in tab - Network Access Permission : Allow access do same for Yz.vn
DC23, DC24 : Create and share a new folder named DataYi DataYz + Turn of local Firewall
DC25 : Install and configure the VPN Server
Turn off local Firewall
Server Manager - Manage - Add Roles and Features - Next to Server Roles : Select "Remote Access" - Next to "Role Services" : Select "Routing" - Add Features - Next to Install
Tools - Routing and Remote Access - Right-Click DC25 - Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access - Choose "Custom configuration"
Select "VPN access" and "Demand-dial connections" - Finish - Start service :
Right-Click DC25local - Properties - IPv4 tab - Static address pool - Add... - Start IP address : 10.0.0.115, End IP address : 10.0.0.150 - OK
Right-Click "Network Interfaces" - New Demand-dial Interface... - Interface name : YiSite - Choose "Connect using virtual private networking VPN" - Choose "Point to point Tunneling Protocol PPTP"
Host name or IP address : 10.0.2.26 - Select more "Add a user account so a remote router can dial in" - Entries password and confirm - Entries password and confirmHiepYz- Finish
DC26 : Do the same DC25 with - User : HiepVPN2, Start IP address : 10.0.3.115, End IP address : 10.0.3.150, Interface name : YzSite, Host name or IP address : 10.0.2.25, allow VPN HiepYi
DC25, DC26 : Routing and Remote Access - Network Interfaces - Right-Clik YiSite YzSite - Connect == OK
WIN111 : Test connection VPN
Right-Click icon card network - Open Network and Sharing Center - Set up a new connection or network - Connect to a workplace - Use my Internet connection VPN
I'll set up an Internet connection later - Internet address : 10.0.2.26 - Create - Change adapter settings - Right-Click VPN Connection - Properties - Security tab
Choose "Point to Point Tunneling Protocol PPTP" - OK - Right-Click VPN Connection - Connect / Disconnect - VPN Connection - Connect - Type account HiepYz - Connect success
Right-Click Start - Run - \\10.0.3.24 == OK
WIN112 : Do the same WIN111 with Internet address : 10.0.2.25 . Run - \\10.0.0.23 == OK
