The Metric Centurion. Strv 101, Sweden's Centurion mk 10.
Strv 101 was the second batch of Centurion tanks that Sweden, in 1958, bought from the UK.This was the mk 10 version of the Centurion, the improvements of the previous versions were the 10,5 mm gun, thicker 120 mm front armour, larger petrol tank, now 1000 liters. The mk 10 was also NATO adapted with the use of the metric system, such as with screws in the chassis and with the electronics and instruments. The last version of the mk 10 in Sweden was the Strv 101R. which had a service from 1959-60 to 2005.
