During this last winter another local user from our Finnish community approached me and asked, that would I be willing to help with delidding his new 13900K or KS CPU and doing some mild baseline overclocking profiles mainly gaming use in mind.

As these CPUs are so high already out of the BOX, you literally don't have nearly any overclocking headroom available with the stock voltages and without delidding. Delidding + Contact frame can reduce the P-Core temperatures by 15 degrees or even more, so that is definitely worth considering if you want to get the most out of these processors. I decided to stay at a relatively safe frequency of 5.6 for the P-Cores with 1.3v, with frequency going up when only fewer cores are being used. So 6.0-6.1 for single and dual core operation, and then frequency going down as the core use goes up. The cache is not very important at all and I just set it at 5GHz and let it be. Atom Cores you can usually get pretty stable at 4.4 to 4.6 for daily use.

Memory is definitely the main highlight these days where you can actually find real gains for daily use. It matters a lot if you have some basic 5600MT/s DDR5 memory , compared to very high frequency Hynix A-Die at 8000+ with good latency table. I managed to verify these Trident Z5 RGB sticks at DDR5-8200 CL36-47-47-48 2T with many subtimings set manually, like tRFC, tREFI and tWRWR_DR and DD.

Overall I think this is still the best combination for various use, as the newest 3D CPU from AMD is actually locked so it only has some advantage in gaming use cases only, but it is not mind blowing if you ask me.

Check out the G.Skill OC World Cup qualifier phase result which I mentioned at the start: https://esports.hwbot.org/#!/round/gs...
