How to Install a Delta Toilet Lever
UPDATE June 2024:
I realized why my lever was making a squeaking noise when I flushed after tightening the metal bolt. The spring mechanism inside my lever was stuck and it was not springing back. So I had to keep the bolt loose in order for it to return after flushing. This is the way I received it in the mail and I was not aware of it. Since I kept the bolt loose, the metal handle eventually fell off and it revealed the spring mechanism. I could see that it was stuck and wasn't able to give a quarter turn and return to position like it is supposed to. I used the metal lever to push the spring mechanism back in place and everything worked great.
You don't have to oil the bolt and you CAN tighten the metal bolt tightly without worry as long as the spring mechanism is working good.
Everything works perfectly with no noises now.
