This tutorial walks you through the steps for setting up and using the ExpressVPN add-on for Mozilla Firefox on your Mac or Windows computer. Note that in order to set up the Firefox VPN extension, you must have the ExpressVPN desktop app installed on your computer (for Mac, it must be app version 7.1 or newer; for Windows, it must be app version 6.9 or newer). You will also need an ExpressVPN subscription.
This video also explains the three privacy and security settings in the ExpressVPN browser extension: “Spoof your location,” “Block WebRTC,” and “HTTPS Everywhere.”
When "Spoof your location" is turned on, any website that requests to know your location will automatically be shared a fake location.
ExpressVPN already protects against WebRTC leaks. However, when "Block WebRTC" is turned on, WebRTC is turned off entirely.
When "HTTPS Everywhere" is turned on, websites will automatically switch from an HTTP connection to secure HTTPS, where available.
