Pyinstaller can bundle Python .py files into Windows .exe or Linux ELF files. This video will cover the basics of using this useful tool.

Notes for Linux:
Build different versions for 32 and 64 bit applications
Build on the oldest version of Linux you want to support
Note: If your application quits straight after you start it and there aren't any errors, try to add input() to the end of your program to stop it from exiting (thanks for João Moreno for reminding me!).
