Discord Added Server Memberships...
Discord has released this new feature called Premium Memberships which is a game changer for discord servers. Previously, in order for servers to be monetised in some way, it would involve using a third-party application such as Patreon to allow discord server owners to give users certain access to roles, channels, and other perks either in or outside of discord in exchange for a payment. Bringing this new feature in has allowed server owners to actually start making money by giving users the option to pay for a membership monthly. However there is a catch, Discord would take a % of the money earnt from these memberships so it's another way they can monetize the platform rather than just relying on other features such as Discord Nitro, in-game purchases for Discord Voice Call Games, Server Boosts and a variety of others. In this video, I will cover everything there is to know about these memberships, how to buy them, how to manage the memberships, and most importantly how it will impact the platform and its users.
