Following the top-selling Cerrone Discolidays 002 release from July 2022, The Reflex returns to his own official imprint for a new exclusive vinyl release, this time with remixes of two current tracks.
‘When Pianos Attack’ by London house supremo Bruise, one of the biggest tunes of 2021 (released on Foundation records) gets The Reflex revision treatment by adding a devastating bassline (courtesy of regular Reflex collaborator Johnny Copland), new drums and an arrangement that takes it into fierce peak time disco- house territory. As first heard in The Reflex mix for The Blessed Madonna’s BBC6 show last February!
On the B side, @LouHayter ’s majestic cover of the Steely Dan classic ‘Time Out of Mind’ (originally released by Skint records in 2021) is revised once again in a disco-dub style exclusively for the vinyl release while The Reflex original revision of it – the full vocal mix previously available digitally - benefits from a sparkling new mixdown, done especially for this vinyl press, both featuring amazing bass work from Johnny Copland.
Both remixes are officially licensed from Foundation Records and Skint Records respectively and will see a digital release later in the year.
