Recording a video from a wrong angle isn't the end of the world as you can easily rotate video afterwards. This tutorial will go over how to rotate a video with the Icecream Video Editor in a few clicks. You will learn how to quickly rotate any footage of yours easily and free. Let's get started.
00:28 Step 1: Download Icecream Video Editor
First, download Icecream Video Editor from our official website, follow the installation instructions and launch the program.

Drag and drop your video into the Media Library. That's the top left side of the program. This area stores the files you want to edit, making them easily accessible. Now, drag the video to the bottom section of the video editor. This area is called the Timeline. It's where you edit your files.

Make sure the needed scene is selected on the timeline. Now, click the "General" button to open the panel with the general settings of the video. Rotate video clockwise or counterclockwise using the relevant buttons under the “Rotate” title. The changes you apply take effect immediately in the video player on the right. When you're happy with the result, click "Done" to apply the changes.
You'll notice that Icecream Video Editor automatically blurs the background for videos if their resolution is different from the project's. You can change the orientation of the project from Portrait to Landscape if that works best for your video.

The “Export video” button will open a new pop-up window in which you can configure some useful settings for the output video such as name, location, format, resolution and quality. Click the “Export” button to rotate video.
