Calculating the area and perimeter of composite shapes
In this edition of Hacking Maths we calculate the area of composite shapes. By first finding all lengths of every side of the shape we are then able to easily calculate the perimeter, and then secondly we can split the shape up so that we can calculate the area of the two rectangles that make it up.
