How the Simpsons Connects Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls
Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty are both incredible pieces of media that have created massive cult followings. Naturally tons of theories have popped up floating around the internet that try to connect the two shows together. Believe it or not the two shows are now canonically connected thanks to the Simpsons.
Rick and Morty has collaborated with the Simpsons in the past, showing up in a couch gag in the Simpsons episode “Mathlete's Feat”. This collaboration confirms that the Simpsons and Rick and Morty share the same universe.
In 2019 Disney acquired the Simpsons as part of the overall purchase of 21st Century Fox and in October of 2021 we got the Simpsons episode “Bart’s in jail”, where we have a Bill Cipher cameo. This means that the Simpsons and Gravity Falls are actually connected.
The Simpsons sharing a universe with both Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty confirms that the 2 shows are canonically connected. This might not be the way fans have always imagined the crossover happening, but it officially confirms their connection.
