Customs and Border Protection holding hundreds of migrants unsheltered near Jacumba Hot Springs
Last week KPBS reported on hundreds of migrants being held in between the primary and secondary border walls in San Ysidro. Now, many are waiting for their chance to request asylum 70 miles east of San Diego in 90-degree heat in the desert. KPBS video journalist Matt Bowler took the long drive out to bring us this report.
