In this short, I explore the implications and motivations behind creating Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). While intelligent systems and narrow AI's problem-solving capabilities are probably very beneficial, developing "digital beings" aka #digitalhumans that are smarter and faster than humans poses significant threats. It seems that the rush to develop AGI is driven by a desire for power, control, and financial gain, rather than the betterment of humanity. This discussion reflects on the typical Silicon Valley mindset and the lack of tech regulation in the USA. And now, #siliconvalley is shifting to support Donald Trump so that a 'Manhattan Project for AI' can be realized. Ouch.
