A short video of an island I built in UE5 using the landscape tools. I then added an ocean water actor and played around with all the settings, including the waves and material. The goal was to create a photorealistic water surface. It was a fun challenge and I learned a lot about the different water, ocean and lake actors. I didn't really play around that much with the water shader though and I didn't figure out how to make foam which bothers me a bit, but oh well. The assets in the video are made using Quixel bridge and none of them were modeled by me. The small wooden boat I found for free on Turbosquid. Let me know in the comments if you'd a like a tutorial on anything in this video.
