PlanetScale has built a serverless database based on vitess.io known for its ease of use and support for developer workflows from day 1 to post-ipo. Jiten and Sam will demo the product, talk about the product vision and databases in the context of modern product development.
Jiten Vaidya is the co-founder and CEO at PlanetScale. Prior to starting PlanetScale, Jiten held various backend and infrastructure roles at US Digital Service, Dropbox, YouTube and Google. At YouTube, he managed the teams that operated YouTube’s MySQL databases at massive scale using Vitess, an open source project on which PlanetScale product is based.
Sam Lambert is the CPO at PlanetScale. Prior to PlanetScale, Sam was at Facebook and Github. At GitHub, as the VP of Engineering, Sam spearheaded the GitHub Actions project that has become a popular CI/CD platform with a short two years of its introduction.
