The Parsi religion, also known as Zoroastrianism, traces its origins to the teachings of the prophet Zoroaster in ancient Persia around the 6th century BCE. Zoroastrianism became the state religion of the Achaemenid Empire and later flourished under the Sassanian Empire. With the Arab conquest in the 7th century, many Zoroastrians migrated to India, where they became known as Parsis. The Parsi community has preserved its distinct identity and religious practices, contributing significantly to Indian society. Zoroastrianism emphasizes monotheism, ethical conduct, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. Today, while the global Parsi population is relatively small, the community continues to uphold its rich cultural and religious heritage.
