I have been working on cars for a living since 1988 and became a ASE Cerified Master Technician in 1990, so trust me when I tell you I know a thing or two about what tools you will need for this profession. Below is a list of what I believe are the important and necessary tools to get you started. Keep in mind you do not need to get all of these at one time. Do not put yourself in debt trying to get everything as soon as you start. Also, be wise and shop around for the best price, don't just get everything off a tool truck. Some tools with be a major investment, while others you won't have to spend as much on.
