How Slime Volleyball Became a Cult Classic
Slime Volleyball is a cult classic game and has had thousands upon thousands of players through the years.
The game we've all been playing is actually One Slime. This is a mod of a remake of an old, mysteriously game called Slime Volley Ball.
The original slime volleyball isn't really very good, but it inspired one person to make a two player version of it, and then that game was made open source, and then mods started trickling through, and this is what eventually lead to One Slime, the game we all know and love.
In this video I explore the surprisingly rich history of how this came to be, from the intial discovery of Slime Volley Ball, through all the mods and other slime sports, then right through to 2020 when One Slime was ported to HTML5.
