When crafting vector illustrations and striving for pinpoint accuracy, there's a clever little trick at your disposal and its called the artboard center mark. This feature in short is represented as a cross that superimposes itself onto the artboard. To enable it head over to the artboard tool and double click it to show the artboard options. Under the display section tick the show center mark option. If your artwork demands even finer alignment you can also enable the crosshairs which will activate vertical and horizontal guides.
