In this tutorial, we will learn how to interface a 4x4 membrane keypad using a Raspberry Pi Pico board with MicroPython programming. Micropython is a lightweight version of python that can be run on low-memory microcontrollers.
Here we are using a 4x4 membrane keypad which gives a 16-key combination and using this combination we will create an authentication system. A keypad is used to enter the pre-defined number password and an SSD1306 OLED is used to display the output. When a user enters the correct password, the user will be allowed to enter the system and with the wrong password, the entry user will be blocked. The whole system is demonstrated in this tutorial.
