Hannah De Angelis shares her remarkable journey of earning her N2 in Biology and the higher qualifications required to get into university after leaving school at 15. Working in hospitality sparked her interest in Food Science and Nutrition, eventually leading her to study Pharmacology. This dedication and passion for science secured her a position as an Associate Scientist at Merck BioReliance.
These interactions are central to our Careers Hive project. 🐝💡
Careers Hive offers S1–3 students a new way of looking at their futures by allowing participants to explore different career pathways and roles across multiple sectors. Visitors have the chance to get hands-on with a range of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) activities and meet early career STEM professionals, who are on hand to answer questions and share their career experiences.
As S1–3 reach the point in their education where they choose their subjects, Careers Hive works to showcase that STEM skills are transferrable and that further studying STEM subjects will help their future careers in a wide range of sectors.
