A genocide run can be done, just not with the memories of the player area. But you need to clear out everything before cathedral of blood first as there's no returning once you jump to the second section of it. I tried to legitimately do the run which you see the beginning of at the end of the video, but Mia fell through ice and died then a spiked ball knocked me off the cliff in the mountain area. I forgot there was a second one and literally stood right next to the edge of the cliff checking for enemies hanging off of it then got pushed off like a chump. Probably wouldn't have made it much farther alone any way, but that's why I cut the journey short after completing the circle.
I consider it complete, fuck it. I did do that second run immediately afterwards and didn't die before recollecting my haze from the sacrificial failed shortcut jump and also didn't use any healing items, which I had a few left of anyway at the end of the first attempt. All I had left were the easiest sections of the game I think I would have completed it if the stupid cathedral of blood didn't lock me out. Wish I had known that before...
Maybe I'll do a pacifist run next. Should that be NG or can I do NG+ without being judged? I just want them to wear the DLC outfits, come on.
