8 Hours of Nighttime Thunderstorm Sounds | Thunderstorms, Winds and Howling Wolfs | Outlast
This video was recorded in Outlast (c) Red Barrels and I recorded this by starting the single-player campaign and then using the console to get free-flying mode started so I could fly around where ever I wanted. It took a bit of time to find a spot to record that had the visuals that I was looking for and didn't have the sounds from other areas of the maps that I didn't want to be included.
I captured the video using Nvidia ShadowPlay at 1440p resolution / 60 fps and imported it to Premiere Pro and added an adjustment layer to color correct the scene and used a hard limiter + other tweaks on the sounds. The rendering of the scene took 5 hours and resulted in a 58 GB file that I uploaded to Youtube in around 15-20 minutes.
The whole process took a couple of days.
