Hey friends! New lesson today, where I return to Tonight You Belong To Me — which is the third lesson I ever taught on my YouTube channel back in November 2013! That original video lesson hasn't aged too well — so I wanted to update things, with some new tips included.
This song originally written back in 1926. I learned of it through Eddie Vedder’s cover on his Ukulele Songs album (2011) — which then lead me to Steve Martin’s performance w/ Bernadette Peters from the movie The Jerk (1979).
I got a recent member email asking for strumming clarification re: my previous lesson, and felt it was time to update the lesson to my modern standards. So here we go! It’s been on my list to eventually revisit & update some of my earliest lessons that teach popular songs, so I guess this is the first one to get that ball rolling. I hope you enjoy!
