This is an implementation of the Catmull-Clark subdivision algorithm. The video demonstrates the features of the program that my project partner and I coded up for a university course assignment at Umeå University, Sweden. This 3D-model loader reads files of the OFF format.

Subdivision of a 3D-model involves dividing its polygons, or "faces", into four new polygons, and then moving some of the corners of the new polygons to a new position. The new position of a corner is an average of certain surrounding points so that the model will look smoother; as you can see in the video, the cube with its pointy corners turns into a round ball.
