Sexy Zone 24th single "Honne to Tatemae" coupling "Try This One More Time" is the theme song for the Japanese dubbed version of the film "Transformers: Beast Awakening" in which Nakajima Kento acts as the lead dubbed voice actor. As the film is set in 1994, the song incorporates stylish 90s hip-hop tunes and rap, and incorporates images from the film and the animated version of Beast Wars.
After numerous meetings with the film side, the song has been created with emotional lyrics and melodies that evoke the hardness of battle action films, symbolised by the wild rap parts, and the bonds between humans, robot life-forms and friends that are created during the battles.
The music video was produced with the song's 90s hip-hop sound in mind, giving it a retro-pop finish.
The set is a brick garage-like place scattered with retro motifs such as neon lights and knick-knacks. The video itself is also processed to create a nostalgic yet somewhat futuristic atmosphere.
