I saw some active prominences on the sun Thursday so it was time to pull out the DayStar Quark and see what I could capture. This animation was captured over 1 hour and 45 minute period and condensed down to 5.8 seconds to make it easy to seen the flames burning. It's then played in reverse. Here is the equipment I used:

Imaging Telescope:
Explore Scientific AR102

Imaging Camera:
ZWO ASI183MM

Solar Filter:
DayStar Quark

Energy Rejection Filter:
Astronomik L1

Mount:
Celestron AVX

Capture Software:
SharpCap 3.1

Stacking Software:
AutoStakkert
