In this video, I demonstrate how to change the oil and oil filter on a 1998 - 2019 Yamaha V-Star 650. The bike in this video is a 2000 model, but the process is very similar for all the years.
-- What you need --
17 mm socket or wrench
5mm allen wrench
4mm allen wrench
3 quarts of 10w-40 motorcycle oil (I prefer full synthetic)
Oil filter for V-Star 650 (I'm using K&N KN-145)
