West Bank Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti appeared in a Tel Aviv court on Thursday.
Israel has accused Barghouti of organising attacks that killed 26 people.
Jonathan Peled, the Israeli Foreign Minister spokesman, said outside the court that all terrorists should be prosecuted like the accused Fatah leader and brought to justice.
