Updating Data After Merging with and without XML in InDesign
Most data merge operations create the merged documents and then never update them again. Other projects, like point-of-sale signage, mailers, and a host of other VDP designs, need to be able to update, alter, and even completely replace the data set after merging using a Live Merge document.
