Sorry, Space Is Just Too Big And Scary
Space, the final frontier... With what we currently know about the Universe and the physics that make existence, it might just be a too big of a challenge to do deep space exploration in a meaningful way. Even if we did find alien life on a distant exoplanet, it seems that the laws of physics, and mainly the speed of light and causality, get in the way of getting anywhere far in a practical way.
