The largest spider in Russia is the South Russian tarantula.

Tarantula moms are very attentive to their babies. First, they lay eggs in a cocoon, which everywhere carry behind them, tied on a spider web.
When the spiderlings hatch from the cocoon, she will carry them around on her at first. All fifty of them. Tarantulas are not aggressive at all. But if this spider is squeezed into a corner, and in addition to press on it, the tarantula can not withstand, bites, and injects the offender poison. Its bite for humans is comparable in painfulness to a hornet sting and causes local swelling. The skin at the site of the bite becomes yellow in color and remains so for about two months. venom venom as well as traces and incl.
