Written and first recorded in 1981 by French singer Martine Clémenceau ( • Martine Clémenceau - Solitaire 1981 ), this follow-up single to Laura’s breakthrough hit “Gloria” was a track from her LP “Branigan 2”; and it remains noteworthy for having become the very first hit record which featured (English) lyrics by songwriting superstar Diane Warren.
