Improving Intel i9 9900k thermals - Lapping IHS
Since Intel went back to soldered IHS, trying to Delid the 9900k is a risk, so the next best thing is to lap the IHS or sand. Lapping means to get a machined type surface that is perfectly level, which is not truly accurate so in essence, we are sanding our IHS or integrated heat spreader. In this video, I wanted to share with you my results, and below I have included all the parts in my system.
