Hyper Zone - Neo Megalopolis (Sega Genesis Style)
I've never played the game. I only know this song because a fellow VGM cover artist covered this song about WAY back in the day. And, for some reason, I thought this song would lend itself really well to the Sega Genesis sound chips.
Originally, I thought I would mostly be using instruments from Zero Wing and Thunder Force IV, since they're both shoot-em-ups on the Genesis with some great music. But I ended up pretty much only using the bass from TF4 and drums from ZW, while the rest of the instruments were mostly from Sonic and the ocarina was from Greendog of all places.
