Gautam-Govinda is a 1979 Indian Hindi-language Action film made by Subhash Ghai. The film stars Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Moushumi Chatterjee, Aruna Irani, Vijay Arora, Nirupa Roy, Premnath, Madan Puri in pivotal roles. Reena Roy appeared in a special appearance.

The music was composed by legendary duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal with popular songs like "Ek Ritu Aaye, Ek Ritu Jaye", "Sar Jhuka, Nazar Utha, Be-Adab Salaam Kar", "O Tera Betwa Jawan Hoi Gava" and "Darogaji, Chori Ho Gayi" sung by Kishore Kumar, Mohd Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar and Manna Dey.

Plot : Gautam, a dedicated officer, is transferred to a town that is teeming with criminals and ruled by Dharamdutt. In order to tackle Gautam, Dharamdutt sends his most able and trusted man, Govinda.
