In this video, I take you through how to edit a static front page in WordPress. This is quite a simple process and easy to do.

It is important to understand that most WordPress sites default to having a 'posts' page as their front page, when they are first set up. It is also important to understand that the front page of a site is the one which sits on the root domain.

An example of a root domain is https://www.simonstestsite.co.uk where there is nothing further beyond the 'co.uk' or '.com' part of the web address. The root domain is the web address that you want to be able to put on your social media, on your emails and on your stationery so the page you choose for your front page needs to represent your and your business.

Once you have added some pages to your site, you can make any of those pages the front page. The page you're most likely to make the front page is a 'Home' page and of course you can edit that in anyway you choose.

In this video, I take through how to make any page on your site the front page, which will then be static and won't change - unless you change it.
