I love all kinds of steam effects, so this time I tried to recreate the hissing steam of a locomotive. Hope you all like it!
By the way, working on this MMD really reminded me why my updates are so slow...
First, I have to fix the animation—4,000 frames take me two days to refine. I think I've got it right, but then I run the cloth simulation for half an hour, only to spot mistakes. Everything is wasted, and I have to start over. This usually happens four or five times.
After the cloth simulation is done, I move on to setting up or adjusting the scene, then working on character materials. After a whole day of effort, I finally get to rendering—only to spend three hours rendering a ten-second clip, play it back, and find a mistake. All that time wasted, and I have to redo it again. This process usually repeats three or four times too.
Long story short, making MMDs like this isn’t easy. I hope you understand why my updates take so long—it really takes a ton of effort!
