In this After Effects Tutorial, you'll learn, how to easily create a liquid effect - using standard effects!

First of all, we draw some drops, using the pen tool. Then we add the "4-color gradient" effect and add "bevel and emboss" to the shape layer in "layer styles".
After we changed some settings, we clean up the shape layer by moving all 4 paths into one shape.
We reduce the opacity and add the "turbulent displace" effect for some more details and movement. Therefore we animate the evolution.
After that we work on some refraction, to make it look much more real.
And we use the "property pick whip" to link all kinds of settings and attributes together.
Finally we animate the paths of our droplets.
