Some notes on working with the shoulder while cradling the client's arm: If you find that the client's arm is "floating" (they're trying to assist or are unable to relinquish control), you can pin their arm to your torso rather than just leaving it draped over your arm. This can potentially feel like being too far into their personal space, so asking first is a fine idea.
This is a great opportunity to be thorough, since you have so much access in this position. Work with anterior and posterior deltoid, all of the rotator cuff, pec major, pec minor, and superior and middle trapezius, all while bringing them into and out of various degrees of stretch! I didn't show too much of this here, but you can extend many of these moves toward the sternum and along the lateral ribs. This all depends on your client's comfort and your therapeutic relationship, so make sure to get informed consent when dealing with potentially uncomfortable areas.
