Raw bodycam: Sonya Massey speaks with police 16 hours before fatal shooting
The Springfield Police Benevolent and Protective Association released bodycam footage from Sangamon County Sheriff's deputies' response to a 911 call 16 hours before another 911 call resulted in deputy Sean P. Grayson fatally shooting 36-year-old Sonya Massey.
Massey's mother, Donna Massey, called 911 on the morning of July 5, 2024, and said her daughter was having "a mental breakdown." This bodycam footage shows police's response.
