In this lesson with Boddle, students will learn that volume is the amount of space a 3D figure takes up and is usually measured in cubic units. Students will also compare and contrast 2D and 3D examples of a square and a cube. Finally, students will see that to calculate the volume of a cube, multiply the length x width x height, but that other 3D figures’ volumes are each calculated differently.
