Mount Lukens via Dunsmore Canyon with a friend!
We take the counterclockwise route and gradually make our way up. Along the way, we talk about random things like video editing, music selection, building the exercise habit, and identifying the Los Angeles landmarks from up here. On the way down, we take a brief jog and forget to take a left turn at Albuquerque and end up adding about a half mile to our trip! Well, getting lost isn’t too bad, as long as you find your way back!
As for the landscape, this is a typical California mediterranean area with spiny Yucca plants, Manzanita, and a little creek where you can fill up with water if you need it. Much of the trail is exposed, which is good in winter, but probably not so good in summer.
