Building Your First Serverless WebRTC Project on Google Cloud Run
For the VR Render Streaming open source project, one of the key components that is required to make it all work is having a WebRTC server that is deployed somewhere on the Cloud. To make this process affordable and efficient, I have containerized the WebRTC server and deployed that on Google Cloud Run, which will allow it to run the server only when someone is testing and trying out VR Render Streaming. This is extremely convenient in these early days as there are only a handful of people testing the project and so for affordability sake, it makes maintaining the server cheap yet reliable.
