Excel: Apply Shading/Color to Alternate Row
Program: Excel 2010
Instructions:
= Highlight selection
= Go to "Conditional Formatting" and choose "New Rule"
= Under 'Rule Type' select (the last option)
"Use a formula to determine which cells to format"
= Copy this formula =MOD(ROW(),2)=0
= Paste it to the rule description box
= Click "Format" and select tab "Fill"
= Choose your color and click "OK"
= "OK" again
Result: color for alternate rows of highlighted selection changes to the color you have just selected
