China Refutes Western Allegations Smearing Human Rights Situation in Xizang
China on Wednesday slammed Western media and other organizations for their groundless accusation on the human rights situation in the country's Xizang Autonomous Region, saying that Xizang's sustained and healthy economic development as well as the overall social harmony and stability are clear to the international community.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian made the statement at a press conference in Beijing in response to the recent irresponsible remarks by some Western media and other organizations about China over Xizang-related issues.
