In this video we discuss problems you may encounter on the ACT® exam involving Foci of an Ellipse. Foci lie inside the ellipse. We show how to find the location of them using the ellipse's equation. The foci always lie on the major (longest) axis, spaced equally each side of the center. If the major axis and minor axis are the same length, the figure is a circle and both foci are at the center.
** NOTE **
There was a mistake in the video where it says the foci are at (8,0) and (-8,0), it should be (0,8) and (0,-8).
