Once upon a time, mankind abandoned science in favor of magic and the occult. The story revolves around a group of five mages intent on rebuilding their world, once plunged into chaos and almost completely destroyed by a rampaging god. Led by their leader Dark Schneider, Gara, Arshes Ney, Abigail and Kall-Su intend to conquer all existing kingdoms, one by one, in the hope of building a utopian world. In doing so, they each have their own reasons for doing so. However, Dark Schneider's reckless behavior and temper leads him to bring destruction wherever he goes. As a result, he falls into a trap set by a group of priests and they seal him in the body of a child, Lucien Renlen, leaving the other four mages without their leader.
Fifteen years later, the four mages begin their takeover of the kingdoms once again, but now their goal is reduced to despotic power over the entire world. The priests who once captured Dark Schneider release him, for only he can protect their kingdom from his former comrades. Now Dark Schneider will have to track down each of them and bring them all back to the path of truth, because the once reckless and immoral Dark Schneider himself has changed in fifteen years of imprisonment....
