Bitdefender Review: Discover in-depth insights on Bitdefender's performance, features, and reliability in our comprehensive review. 🔒🌐 Safeguard your digital world!"
Hey guys, welcome back to the channel! Today, I’ll be talking about Bitdefender, which is one of the most reliable antiviruses out there. It’s known for its excellent web protection features, top-notch anti-malware algorithm, and the fact that it is offered at budget-friendly prices. And, after using it for about 6 months now and exploring its features pretty thoroughly, I can say that it’s one of the best antivirus options available. And although there are some downsides, given that they offer all their features across different operating systems with a really user-friendly interface, it’s a great choice for pretty much any device. So, in this video, I’ll be walking you through its features, its pros and cons, and everything else that you’d need to know to decide if Bitdefender is the right antivirus for you or not. Now, when I did my research before I signed up, I was a bit skeptical of some of their claims. And so, I decided to test it out by planting malicious files onto my PC, which included viruses, trojans, spyware, rootkits, worms, ransomware, keyloggers, and cryptojackers. And when I ran a full system scan, it took about an hour to complete and detected more than 90% of the malware, including zero-day threats. And my system didn’t slow down at all while the scan was running, which is probably because of their cloud-based scanning. The virus databases that Bitdefender’s scans refer to are stored in the cloud. That’s why all the scans happen in the cloud, which has a really minor impact on the device. They also offer a variety of other scans. A quick scan monitors the processes running on the system for threats; a custom scan can be scheduled whenever you want to scan a specific file, folder, or disk where threats might be located; and a vulnerability scan checks for security patches that might happen because of weak passwords or outdated apps and operating systems. I really liked their vulnerability scan because I sometimes forget to update my device manually, and so it comes in handy to let me know which of the apps require an update. They also have a feature called Bitdefender Shield, which is a real-time protection and anti-phishing feature. It constantly scans the system for threats that might come in from the internet by means of a downloaded file, an email attachment, or a local connection. It’s actually so effective that I couldn’t even plant the malicious files for testing without totally disabling it. It detected every single threat I tried to plant in my system and quarantined it until I switched it off. It performed better than both Chrome's and Firefox’s built-in protection features, which is really impressive! And it even allowed the whitelisting of trusted websites, permanently adding false positives to their exception list. Now, Bitdefender has an anti-tracker feature that keeps track of third-party scripts and cookies, so no websites are able to track you. Then, the SafePay feature comes as a browser extension to protect against fraud and cybercrimes during an online transaction. And the system tune-up tools improve performance by deleting junk files, cookies, temporary files, and so on and so forth. Now, it does improve a device’s speed, but there are some things that are missing, like a startup optimizer, a duplicate file finder, a battery usage manager, and stuff like that. And lastly, they offer identity theft protection, which basically looks out for a user’s details over the internet and the dark web that might have been leaked by data breaches. If it finds any detail compromised, it offers coverage of up to $2 million for U.S. residents. Of course, the coverage is subject to the jurisdiction of the user, so it’s best to go straight to their website for more details. Alright, that’s it for today!
